Haunted was a great horror book! It was terrifying and electric, and there were definitely times that I wanted to stop reading because it was so scary. But, because the storyline was so gripping, I couldn't stop.

However, this book has a couple of things that I wasn't a big fan of. I thought the whole "ghost-busting" was a bit, well, rushed. I would have appreciated if there was a bit more to it, and maybe more to the character we meet near the end of the book, who essentially does the ghostbusting. It just felt really rushed and not well-formed.

Another thing I didn't necessarily like was how there were things left that weren't explained. For example, one of the characters is revealed to have this ability, but it doesn't make much sense because it's never touched on again. It would have opened the doors to something more, but as it is, it just left me confused. It could be that it ties into Danielle Vega's other books, in which case ignore this whole point.

The last thing that got to me was the mystery. It felt like it completely came out of the left field, and if there was more development on the past and what happened to the house, I probably would have really felt like it was a phenomenal storyline. I did really like the way that Hendricks' backstory was told, maybe if the house's backstory was told that way too I would have really enjoyed it.

All in all, this definitely satisfied my craving for a quick horror book! I'm very tempted to check out more of the author's work, and keep up with what she publishes in the future!
