The Haunted follows a girl who moves to a new town and into a house where several murders and suicides have taken place. It reminded me a lot of American Horror Story Murder House, which was my absolute favorite season, so I highly enjoyed that. The back of the arc must have a typo because it says for ages 9 and up and I think this book would have given me nightmares when I was nine years old. I don’t want to give much more to the plot as I don’t want to give any spoilers, but I would highly recommend this to fans of ahs and Stephen King. I do think this would be a fantastic book to read around Halloween time, and I wish it would have come out closer to that time. The atmosphere and story is so creepy it would make a great fall read.
