The Haunted was really fast and spooky, perfect for an October read!
I really liked the pace the author set this book at. There wasn’t a moment that I was sitting and wanting to close the book from boredom.
I liked the characters in this a lot more than I did the characters in The Merciless by Danielle Vega, one of her other novels.
I liked the setting, Drearford was a really creepy town that gave off vibes of eerie restlessness. I also enjoyed interactions between characters, I sometimes found myself laughing even given the creepiness.
This was a fairly enjoyable read that I’ll probably re-read next spooky season!
