This book consists of two of my guilty pleasures: horror as a subject matter and the young adult genre! My first impression of the writing is that it's fast-paced, fun and contains great descriptions (such as "It smelled like wet jeans and the trailer park dogs and something gone rotten in the garbage...") that add to the creepiness of the setting. The cover design on the book is impactful but I feel like the choice of typography could have been better (the title looks more like what would appear on an action-genre novel verses a horror novel). Nonetheless, the story appears to be exciting and entertaining!
