This hits all the right notes for teen thriller....haunted house, new girl in town struggling to fit in, girl with past, family with obligations preventing them from leaving. While I'm not the target audience for this book, I did still get chills reading the descriptions of the noises on the stairs, the open windows, the creepy talking doll, etc. I think teens who love ghost stories will really like this one.
