I could give it a 3.5 stars, but it will be a stretch to round it up to 4 stars so I'll stick to 3 stars. I went into this expecting mystery and thriller, but everything was so predictable that there were no surprising twists. The story seemed to have a lot of potential, but it didn't go anywhere. The first half was pretty slow paced with some unnecessary details included which had nothing to do with the plot. It did pick up the pace as the second half started, and some revelations were introduced, but it did not end on that high. If you go into this expecting it to be just fiction or drama or even slow burn mystery, it might appeal a bit more to you. I will not give up on Jones because I have liked some of her previous works, but this one didn't do that for me. The good thing about it was the alternating Point of Views (POVs) which is one of my favorite writing styles. Read it for the drama!
