The Half Sister by Sandie Jones was missing that wow factor I typically find in her other books that I have read. There was a mysterious vibe to it as you're reading and trying to figure out what exactly the half-sister is after and if she is really who she is claiming to be -the storyline lacked originality and I think this one was just a bit predictable for me. I did like the dual narratives of Kate and Lauren and the concept of : What would you do if you had a sibling you never knew existed I think that the book just started off extremely slow and although the second half picked up I just got to the point that I was ready to be done with reading it. Some of the plot points seemed a bit far-fetched and then the ending wrapped up just a bit too quickly. Bear in mind that this is a domestic family drama instead a thriller so if you expect that then perhaps you will enjoy it more.
