I provided a short review based on a first look of this book, and after winning it in a raffle, am now ready to provide a review of the entire book.

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. I thought the synopsis was great, but unfortunately the full novel failed to adequately develop the main characters enough to make them seem real, to make me engage with them. The two full sisters didn't seem to know each other at all, and neither of them seemed to have a realistic picture of their parents. DNA technology played a part in this and wasn't really accurately portrayed. Add the half sister to the mix, whose character was never really developed at all, and you have this mish-mash of glimpses of each sibling's lives that never really grab you. The mother gets a pass from the two full sisters even after several lies -- never really explained.

I read the book in one day; even though the book didn't fully meet my expectations, the who-dun-it wasn't really a mystery -- it still was engaging enough to hold my interest throughout. I would read another book by this author, even though this book wasn't my favorite.
