I would give this 3.5 ⭐. I'm going to be honest, it took me a while to get into this book. The first half was flat and a lot of useless details that took away from the plot, but I'm glad I stuck with it because it got better the second half.
Almost a year after the death of their father, a surprise knock comes during their family Sunday dinner. A mystery girl named Jess claiming to be their half sister. Kate is skeptical since she holds her father up on a pedestal thinking he can do no wrong in her eyes and that her father would never have an affair. But Lauren on the other hand, had a much different relationship with her father when he was alive and remembers seeing something when she was younger, and thinks maybe some truth in her claim. Diving in deeper into the pages, you find out the family holds many secrets and is not as perfect as they seem. Definitely worth the read.
