Having previously really enjoyed Sandie Jones's books, I was very excited about The Half Sister, and it turned out to be well worth the wait! Like the author's previous books, this is more domestic drama than twisty thriller, but readers will find that the quest for the truth makes the journey through the story worthwhile. It's one of those books that really calls into question just how well we can truly ever know even those closest to us as both Kate and Lauren, the two sisters at the center of the story are keeping big secrets from each other, and have been for decades. The impacts of the popular DNA testing sites continues to provide a lot of great fodder for fiction and nonfiction writers alike, and Sandie Jones has created a great family drama with her take on it.
