First off I found the description a little boring, like alright there are secrets but can we have a hint of the bad part?
The author's use of certain words and phrases annoyed me a bit too like when characters let out breaths they don't know they're holding, and her use of some adjectives ... what was it, "derisorily"? Probably not a bad book but the characters just seem prone to excessive dramatics that I'm not interested in!
