This book clearly has some major family drama happening. The tension between the two sisters, Kate and Lauren, is palpable and already set up after the first few chapters. Kate and her husband want a baby but are having difficulty conceiving. Lauren and her husband have some children. Then we have the entrance of a supposed half sister and we begin to learn about the troubles in Lauren's marriage with what appears to be a jealous aggressive husband.
