Kate and Lauren are careful to live their public and private lives, putting forth their best impressions with the extended family and harboring serious stress in their private lives. Both have marital stressors. Kate's desire for a child is being pushed to her limit through the in vitro process while her husband remains steadfast that "we" continue until "we" succeed. Lauren's husband appears to be an insecure chauvinist hiding behind the facade of a happy family with their three small children. The matriarch, Rose, hosts the whole crew every Sunday...acutely feeling the loss of patriarch, Harry, some six months ago. Into all this stress walks Jess - who claims to be Harry's daughter come to meet him, unaware that he recently passed. Every character already has an agenda, and I can tell this is going to be a wild, angsty ride. I can't wait to read it!
