If I had the points, I would have immediately scooped this book up. The writing is obviously amazing coming from Sandie Jones, but the raw emotion emanating from Kate and her husband’s repeated failed attempts at getting pregnant had me full of empathy from the dialogue and Kate’s exhaustion over the disappointment. One chapter in and I was ready to devote my soul to this book, but throwing a half-sister in the mix since Kate seems to harbor resentment toward her fertile older sister, and I was ready to throw in the towel because I don’t know if I’ll ever find another book quite as intriguing.
