Wow! My thoughts and emotions are all over the place after reading this! First there’s Kate: I immediately had empathy for her struggle & disconnection from her remaining family members, specifically her relationship with Lauren. Then Jess appears & I immediately felt sorry for her; she seemed lost, alone & longing for a family. Then the author introduces Lauren’s perspective & my heart drops; she’s stuck in a questionable relationship with no one to talk to! What a family! I can’t wait to see where this story goes!!
