Sisters, Kate and Lauren, together with their mother, Rose, are given a shock when Jess, a woman around 14 years younger than them, enters their home on a Sunday afternoon. Jess claims to be their half-sister. Kate is battling infertility, Lauren a boorish husband, while widowed Rose is no doubt battling loneliness. More secrets threaten to spill as we hear that their Dad had said something to Lauren that disturbed her. I liked Kate's voice the best and want to know her better. I so want to read the novel to untangle the family ties and decipher the mystery!
