My first impression of the book was how breathtakingly real it is. The jealousy between the sisters, Simon's manipulation and abuse, Kate being unable to have a child, are all problem happening in real life. Not every family is perfect, or even all that good. I like how the cover caught my attention. I would like to read more to discover if Jess really is their sister, and if so, how and why that happened.
