I don't usually go for historical or historical-esque novels, but I'm really eager to read this book. Right off the bat, readers will understand the connections that the author is making when it comes to the struggles that are caused by class-based conflict and differences and the struggles that women face in a man-ruled world.

I really love the wild-west-esque feel for this book. I've previously read books that take from history's atmosphere, but so far, this is my favorite of the bunch.

I also really like the setting of the welcome house-- even if it's completely messed up. I find such dark and terrible places so fascinating because they're really relevant when it comes to the themes that are hinted towards.

I really want to read this book in the entirety. At first, I was skeptical because of the historical elements, but now I'm really hooked and I hope I can get a copy eventually.

You would love this book if you enjoy The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton, The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, and the The Chemical Garden series by Lauren Destephano.
