This was a complex and complicated look at family my relationships and the ways they can shape us well into adulthood. Some parts of this book were a little over the top, and annoyed me, I'll be honest. Probably my favorite part of this book was that it was set in Australia and then our main character moved to scotland, and then to Ireland, and then back to Australia again. I feel like I got to experience those countries and places she lived in right along with her and makes me wish that I could travel there myself. Something I thought it was interesting was Eliza's discovery of her father and how sometimes everything in life doesn't go the way that you hope it does. I think Eliza was very lucky that her story turned out the way that it did just because sometimes you know everything doesn't work out the way you wanted it to. I like to cover well enough it wasn't anything spectacular.
