The title and the cover caught my eye.
I really liked how the story started, Two God Mothers are involved with Eliza life. What was interesting is that when a tragic event happened in Eliza's life the God Mothers don't seem to show up. (Unless we learn that latter in the story). The story jumps 13 years.
I'm curious as to what really happened to Eliza's mum. They story promises to tell.
So, yes, I would keep reading. Even though Eliza seems to have no backbone--hoping that will change. I don't care for 'mousey women'. Here's hopping she finds her voice and a life.
