The first chapter moves very quickly, easy to read and I can see this book being one that could be devoured in a short time. There is a sort of eerie underpinning though, at least to the first chapter. I’m not sure if it’s altogether intended or just a result of the somewhat quirky writing style. The cover is a bit too simple for my tastes. I think both the cover and description could do a better job signifying what the main mood of this book is going to be, and the intended overarching tone. I was left feeling like it’s readable and worth a try but didn’t leave much of an impact.
