I really liked this excerpt! The cover art is gorgeous but very minimalistic. the red adds a nice pop of color to the otherwise black and white cover. There isn't much to sat about the main character at this point but I hope she breaks out of her comfort zone. I love that she's older than a usual protagonist of this genre. I hope she finds all the secrets she wants to know.
