The beginning of the book started out very bittersweet. Things were only starting to get more comfortable for Eliza's life when things took a turn for the worse when she was 17. She was supposed to find out about her father when she turned 18, but now her mother is no longer there to tell her about him. I am curious what her father's backstory is, and how her grandmothers will play a role in her discovery journey regarding her family's background.
