Oh my gosh! What a great beginning! Eliza and her mom love to make lists and I loved the 'to do list' that included "watch two cartoons"! When her mom suddenly dies, Eliza's godmothers continue watching over her. Losing her job and her apartment on the same day allowed Eliza to say yes to a surprise trip with one of them to see the other godmother. The future should be interesting!
