The first few chapters of this book already had me smiling sympathetically at poor Eliza's unfortunate predicaments- losing her job and an eviction notice all in one day. Her godmothers Olivia and Maxie seem like fun characters that will be good for some fun later in the book. The vibe I was getting as I read was kind of like if Sophie Kinsella had written Mamma Mia, which are two pluses in my book.
