This really opened my eyes to the struggles of eating disorders and how it effects the person with the disorder and how it effects the family as well. It was emotionally charged and I got a little bit of a “Girl, Interrupted” vibe from the book. However, the subject was touchy but I thought that it was a fantastic look into the disorder and how it hurts you emotionally and physically, the author really did her research in addition, I thought the author handled the subject matter with grace especially on such an emotionally charged subject.
Follows the story of Anna who is battling the disease after a move to the states has left her adrift while her husband moves on with his career. I loved how the author brought Anna and her husband to life so realistically. I would recommend this book to almost everyone!
