i could not put down this haunting read. it's prose is very engaging. every thought Anna has is heartwrenching. this is a completely different novel compared to other books about anorexia and other eating disorders. usually they are from the view of a teenager, Anna is a grown woman and married. THere are also so many other characters that you get to know and feel for. i love the different timelines and the interspersing of meal plans and file information through out the book. the book really opens your eyes to the heart wrenching impact eating disorders have on the person directly and all those around them who love them and just want to help even though the person may not and usually doesn't see it as help.
