If you have ever wondered what it's like to be anorexic, then this book is for you. The novel walks you through the girls at 17 Swann Street, who all suffer from this disease. I liked it, but I have a difficult time relating to self-inflicted diseases. The honest account of the recovery stages and the tragedy of those who weren't strong enough to make it was heartbreaking. I found it very difficult to understand how these young girls can starve themselves and have such a negative body image. They each have their own reasons for feeling like they do and behaving the way they do, but, for someone who doesn't have a similar mindset, it's difficult to grasp this.

Thank you St. Martin's press for the ARC.
