This is not a book I would normally pick up. I don't have an eatting disorder and, to my knowledge, know of no one who does. That being said, I feel that I am now more educated about people with these type of disorders and the hell that they must go through. The author does a great job of letting us into their struggles, successes and failures. I felt an emotional attachment to each of the characters and was so upset when some of their plans didn't work out.

While this was a very depressing read, it did have uplifting moments and I came to really love each of the girls in this book.

Don't pass on this book because of the subject matter. It is a page turner and does a great job of letting us into an unfamiliar world.
