I was really exciting about the premis of this book, however it didn't quite do it for me. I didn't like the writing style and found it hard to get sucked into the story, I also felt that the style get me some what at a distance from the character. I didn't like the shift in chapter 3 from first to third person and again found this jarring. I did feel however that in these first chapters you really got a sense of our main character and the struggle she is going through. I felt like the author delt with the theme of anoxeria with care and compassion and feel this may be a important book for people who may be going through the same thing. I would like to read more and find out what happens however the writing style puts me off a bit.
