This book is a lyrical masterpiece! Anorexia is a difficult subject to talk about yet the author has handled it wonderfully. You get a glimpse into the mindset of someone with anorexia and it makes you empathize with them and understand the situation better. The author also does a great job of showing how much of a physical and mental illness anorexia is; she describes the main character's thought process and her health conditions.
I love how easy and smoothly the story flows. It's almost as if you're reading poetry but in novel form. The setting switches between Paris, France and St. Louis, Missouri. They are two vastly different places and I like seeing how the main character lives and adjusts to both places. I'm very excited to read more of this book, it has amazing potential!
