This tells the story of a professional dancer, and her struggles with an eating disorder and attempting to come to grips with a future for herself that she hadn't previously envisioned.
This was hard to read, and especially so for anyone who has struggled with eating disorders themselves. You get a raw look into the women at this facility and their struggles and disordered self-perceptions. I enjoyed the story, but only gave it three stars because I never felt truly emotionally connected to any of the characters. Something like this should be haunting and bring up a lot of emotions, but I found myself just reading to get through it. The style of writing was also tough to follow, with no quotation marks and random flashbacks, that also made it difficult to get truly immersed into the story.
