This book was surprisingly quick moving- the chapters are pretty short, but I think the main reason it's a quick read is that I became very emotionally invested rather quickly. Anna is a character that feels terribly real- she had a career she was passionate about, family she loves dearly, and a husband who adores her and she adores. But none of that makes a person exempt from an eating disorder, and Anna shows how easily it happened to her, and the struggle to recover.
While from the description this should be obvious, it's worth noting that this book contains definite triggers- it's a book that is entirely about eating disorders, and specifically the way one woman descended into hers, and worked her way out. If reading descriptive passages about food restriction or ED recovery is triggering for you, this is definitely a book to avoid.
