I normally wouldn't read books about this topic because it can be triggering. However, for the sake of bookish first points, I decided to give it a go. One thing I noticed is the author's writing. She employs the "show" instead of "tell" approach. I thought it suits the novel, albeit it feels more YA instead of Adult. It's probably because the writing seems simplistic and sort of repetitive, however YA doesn't mean the book's quality automatically diminishes. The voice of the main character's engaging and I can tell that this one's going to be one heck of an EMOTIONAL read. I think this reason is enough to be read this novel.
