Has the potential to be emotionally devastating

This book feels...heavy. Like, really heavy. The subject matter is so important, and the perspective feels fresh. But it also feels like it's going to rip my heart out and crush it. I am noticing vibes similar to "Wintergirls" by Laurie Halse Anderson. This sounds like a story that should be added to the dialogue on body image and mental illness. But it may also be super triggering to some who engage it.
