Another magical and enchanting read from Katherine Arden

Katherine Arden brings us back to Medieval Russia with "The Girl in the Tower". It is a beautifully written novel that captures elements of Russian folklore. I love how she paints a cozy, winter atmosphere in her books. The plot of her stories is so rich and this historical fantasy novel is so captivating. I love how the characters are written and appreciate the character development throughout the novel. I can't wait to read more from her. This book reminded me of a fairy tale in some respects. The main character is such an admirable figure and honestly so cool. I could not put this book down and I forgot I was reading at times. Additionally, the prose throughout the novel is so well written and I was enamored with how lyrical her writing is. If you want to be immersed in the fantastical medieval Russian winter, I highly recommend this book.
