Just like The Bear and the Nightingale, The Girl in the Tower draws you in with it's lush, lyrical prose, dark laces of myth and mystery, and it's wonderful, complex characters. The prologue drew me right into a Russian winter fairy tale, and the first chapter painted a vivid scene of Moscow and it's inhabitants, leaving me to want more. The cover to this book is just as beautiful as the first one, not too blinding, not too drab, utterly stunning. I would devour this delicious book in probably one sitting, it left me wanting so much more.
