The cover is mystical, yet earthy. I like the effect it has and how it interrelates to the font of the Title. However, other than the title page inside the book itself and the description on the website the viewer/reader is not aware that this is a second book in a trilogy.

Something that I usually don't read, and prefer to skip. I wish I had. But now I can't unsee the line that's attempting to draw imagery, me thinks, of light on snow using a variation of the word "blood." It's leaving a metallic taste in my mouth, unsurprisingly.

If the girl looking for the man in the invisibly visible house in the fir-grove, why does she stiffen at the sight of him? And the house slowly appeared to Vasya or it teleported slowly piece by piece from somewhere else?

The Title starts with "The Girl" ... The first line of the Prologue begins "A girl" ...
The first chapter starts with "Moscow" ... Thankfully not relating to girl, ... Wait! What's that, middle of the page, beginning paragraph three... "A woman..."

I can't read any more. I don't think I can shut my inner-editor off for this one.

Take Aways: Not for ... meh.

I think by the amount of good First Impressions this book will hit a good audience. But it will not hit me.
