I thought this was going to be a relatable small town book but it turned out to be a big disappointment. The characters were confusing and hard to keep track of. I kept having to flip back and see who was who. The language was frustrating and the German that was thrown in was confusing. I know it was their culture but I didn't want to google it to see the translation. I thought it was building up to something but nothing ever really happened. It was just a lot of family drama. I thought the fair was going to be a bigger part of the story but it just flew by really. If it wasn't so short I wouldn't have made it all the way through.
I really love the cover, it's so gorgeous and I would almost keep it just to see it on my bookshelf. I wouldn't pick up another book by this author.
