I can't give this book more than 2.5 stars. This book title totally threw me off. I thought (yes, even after reading the plot) before I wrote the first impression that it would be about The Gillespie (Texas) State Fair in Fredericksburg. That also threw me off since there's a Fredericksburg, VA, but I knew it wasn't that one! The characters were all related in some way and the first half of the book was all about real estate and getting back land. I was thinking when are we going to get to the fair? I almost gave up on this book at page 50 but decided to go on and keep reading hoping it would get better and get to the fair.
The characters were a mish mosh and I couldn't keep them straight and who was related to who and who were just friends.
The ending was kind of out there.
