Had All The Makings of a Great Novel, but Fell So Short
This story takes place in a little town in Texas called Fredericksburg opening up everyone’s struggles, issues and secrets. Unfortunately, this story wasn’t all that well written was a drag to read and lost me several times along the way.
I found the relationship between Mari and her daughter, Willow, to be pretty entertaining, their dynamic was interesting. I also like how the book ended with Willow exploring what she really wants in life and where she is suppose to go.
I was extremely excited to read this novel. It sounded absolutely incredible. I just feel like maybe there were too many characters, or too much background was given on all the characters. I wish it was better written and it would have gotten more stars and a fuller review if it would have been.
