The cover at first is what grabbed my attention. It’s set in a field in Texas and looks creepy from the start! Then you have two families to be battling out over the sale of their money. You have them clashing over new wealth and poverty. While the town is blossoms the story of the family is destroying itself. I love the small town living with the secrets and not knowing how this all is going to turn out. You think you know things about your small hometown but then do you really? I feel The Gillespie County Fair will be a book ppl will be talking about for a long time. It is set in the south with good strong farming community and has a chic tourist destination. Money sure can make ppl do a lot of greedy things!
