The First Impression sample started out with a bang. It was descriptive and thrilling. Unfortunately, that thrill started to fizzle out and the characters just didn't interest me enough. I don't feel sorry for the land owner who committed arson and I don't care one way or another about the man who purchases the land to profit from.
