The synopsis for The Gillespie County Fair really caught my attention and made me want to read this book. It sounds like a very interesting story covering a topic that really speaks to me. The locomotive train of progress against people who don't necessarily want it. The First Read sold me even more. Although I'm not a Texan, I do have a lot of German blood in my family. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this family's American Dream encounters harsh realities.
