So many small towns are in decline and Fredericksburg, TX is one of them. As land developers move in to attract tourists, many locals are being forced out or pushed to desperate measures to keep their families afloat. Overall, I like the dual narrative between Carel and his daughter Willow. Seeing the plot point at the center of the story in the beginning through both people's eyes leaves a lot of questions as to motivations and the good/bad character question.
