GILLESPIE COUNTY FAIR certainly offers an approach to rural gentrification that is rarely, if ever, promoted. The promise of a country fair is always a draw, but the unfortunate loss of even more land and wildlife habitat is scary. It will be good to see if the author gives readers any hope.
