I've heard a lot of good things about The Gilded Wolves in the past six or so months. However, when I got the ARC of it from BookishFirst, I was nervous that it wouldn't live up to my expectations or it would be too similar to Six of Crows, one of my favorite books of all time.
Bottom line: The Gilded Wolves is everything I want from a YA book, and I can't wait to read more in this series.
I love the characters and their distinct voices. I love the representation, especially as a Filipino American. Sure, it's the little things of seeing Tagalog words I recognize, but it's also seeing someone with a similar background as me in a book that I adore. Enrique is one of my favorite characters, and I'm so glad that Roshani brought him to life. If you want something that keeps you on the edge of your seat or something to make your nerdy treasure hunt-loving heart sing, The Gilded Wolves is for you.
