The characters are phenomenal! I love the back stories and depth of the characters. The first bit grabbed my attention and held it through the entire story. It is edgy and dark with lots of bejeweled words. The writing is fantastic. I have read books by this author before so I knew her style. It is like exploring a lavish art gallery while sampling delicious food along the way. This book has a wonderful plot, characters, setting, and writing. Perfect for those who enjoyed the author’s other work and those who enjoy YA fantasy. This author’s first series is stunning and in this book I could tell she has grown as an author. She is definitely an author to pay attention to. Her stories are beautiful and the writing is unlike anything I’ve read before.
