I had heard some hype about this book and it got me interested in it. It is set in a very cool world with a great magic system. Unfortunately the plot just didn't grasp my attention. I had a hard time getting through this book. There were some boring parts that just seemed to drag on. I did really enjoy the characters. They each had their own unique personality with a troubling past. They were a group of misfits and it was my favorite aspect of the book. I love reading about a group of people that normally wouldn't hang out together, but what they have gone through in life brings them together. The group in this book bonds over being outcasts and it's my favorite part.
