The Gilded Wolves is a character driven heist story set in the quite literally magical Paris, France. The beginning was a bit slow and I will admit I did not understand almost any of the magic. The world also slightly confused me at some points but most of the time I was fully immersed in it. My favorite part of the book had to be the characters. Zofia was definitely my favorite of them all.Tristan was probably my least favorite for several reasons. Severin annoyed me at several occasions but I still managed to love him regardless. I loved Laila, Enrique, and Hypnos so much.
I also loved the writing and it made it very easy to become drawn into the book, even if it was a little slow at times. Unlike a lot of books with switching points of view, in this book I could usually easily distinguish the difference between the thoughts and mannerisms of the characters. I really enjoyed this book and (almost) all the characters and I'm really excited to finish the series!
